Tuition
Tuition is a yearly commitment, which you pay per month. Tuition fees are due monthly, not per class, and are to be paid by the 15th of each month. A late fee of $5 will be added to your bill for every payment that is late. Once you register for the year, you are obligated to see through the financial commitment of the full year, as space in classes is limited.
Refunds
There are NO REFUNDS for classes missed, whether due to illness or poor weather. If for ANY reason a student must miss a class, they are allowed to attend another class on the schedule, in their level, as a make-up class.
Withdrawals
The Academy of the Arts staff should be notified immediately if a child must withdraw from a class. Until such time, the space will be held for the student and charges will be invoiced to the parent or guardian.
Dress Code
Please read the dress code insert on the Academy of the Arts’ brochure thoroughly as students should arrive for class dressed according to the dress code for their class. Students who are not adequately prepared or late to class due to lack of preparation will observe class only. The Academy of the Arts’ staff will assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or misplaced items.
Recital
Academy of the Arts will have a Spring Performance June 7 and 8th, 2008. Costume fees are due before Christmas break, so please begin planning accordingly. Any costumes that are not paid for on time will not be ordered, and the student will not be able to perform. There are no refunds for costume and recital fees. Any alterations necessary for the costumes to fit the student are the responsibility of the parents.
Class Etiquette for Parents and Observers
If you have any questions or concerns while class is in session, please contact the front desk first. No one is allowed in class unless invited by the instructor. No videotaping of the class is allowed unless invited by the instructor.
Financial Difficulties
Any families with financial difficulties that need to set up alternative payment plans may talk to Studio Manager, Laura Hawkins.
Attendance
Students that have more than 6 unexcused absences during the 2007-2008 year may be asked not to perform in the spring recital. Please be sure to let your teacher or the front desk know if you will not be attending class!
